Installing APC on Media Temple Grid Server

The tutorial appears to work fine. The command in step 8. has some weird non standard dashes in the article, it should be the following:
./configure -enable-apc -enable-apc-mmap -with-apxs2=/usr/sbin/apxs -with-php-config=/usr/local/php-5.2.6–1/bin/php-config

Dreamhost offering free web hostingDreamhostapps.com seems like a decent, free way of setting up managed, security-maintained sites using popular free web software (with noticeable limitations on themes and plugins).

Dreamhost is currently my preferred provider of tinkering friendly shared hosting. I subscribe to their main product, a hosting plan ridden of unnecessary restrictions, which also includes nice stuff like a reliable, sanity and time-saving WordPress one-click upgrader and a feature-complete control panel. Their service is reliable enough for non-business stuff.
