From Romantically Apocalyptic episode 33, alexiuss aka Vitaly s. Alexius posta-pocalyptic webcomic

Romantically Apocalyptic is a humorous webcomic set in an insane, post-apocalyptic world created by Russian-born, Canadian deviantArt personality and artist Alexiuss (Vitaly S Alexius) using

“Photoshop, live actors, dead actors, sexy assistants, greenscreen, a camera, and a Wacom tablet. Each comic page is meticulously digitally painted and contains 6 years worth of textures: 1 terabyte of stock footage, shot in real abandoned, forgotten places of our world.”

Allison can write. She can put words on paper. She is writing a letter. She wrote one yesterday. She has written two letters. The doctors keep them in a file.

My First Dictionary

Creepy word-of-the-day themed webcomic disguised as a children’s dictionary. The word for April 2 2009 was “write“.

Presidential Records Act: no private (online) correspondence allowed for US presidents

“For years, like legions of other professionals, Mr. Obama has been all but addicted to his BlackBerry […] But before he arrives at the White House, he will probably be forced to sign off. In addition to concerns about e-mail security, he faces the Presidential Records Act, which puts his correspondence in the official record and ultimately up for public review, and the threat of subpoenas. A decision has not been made on whether he could become the first e-mailing president, but aides said that seemed doubtful.”

Imagine: no private conversations for four or eight years.

Russian government to regulate Emo and Goth culture?

“Last month the State Duma held a hearing on “Government Strategy in the Sphere of Spiritual and Ethical Education”, a piece of legislation aimed at curbing “dangerous teen trends”. There, without a clue in the world, social conservatives lumped “emos” together with skinheads, pushing for heavy regulation of emo websites and the banning of emo and goth fashion from schools and government buildings.”
